While online learning is not a new application of technology, its use in K-12 schools and businesses is emergent. For this task, evaluate the potential of online learning to support twenty-first century teaching and learning, and then prepare an informative presentation for your colleagues.
Develop a PowerPoint presentation suitable for your colleagues that illustrates how online learning modules can fill gaps and support meaningful, authentic learning. Include the following in your presentation:
Anticipate and rebut potential reasons your colleagues may resist online learning.
Consider the Learning Resources and your school or business. What gaps might be filled with an online learning option? How can online learning modules support meaningful, authentic learning?
Include references to the LMS you visited.
Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Support your presentation with at least three scholarly resources for each of the bullet points listed above. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included.
Length: 12 – 15 slides (with a separate reference slide)
Notes Length: 100-150 words for each slide
Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrases with references in APA format and style where appropriate.
